Hamlin Blast By Phast-Play Hard Adventure Sports and Tours
Mission COMPLETE! The Hamlin Blast 8 hour adventure race is done!
The weather decided to play some tricks on Jeff & I by giving us rain, wind, and cold tempertures but that didn't stop anyone from finishing this grueling race. With over 20+ miles of biking, 6+ miles of canoeing (in the wind), and 10+ miles of trekking/orienterring, we were both pretty tired for that last 2.5 mile run to the finish. Luckily, the race was in Ludington, so the location couldn't of been better. We had the dunes, lakes, woods, rolling hills......everything an adventure racer could ask for!
Compared to last year, this course was much more difficult. The mandatory and optional checkpoints were both found along the way, so each team had to work on time management to finish on time and with all the points they wanted and could get.
Overall, it was a great time.
The weather could always be worse and it just adds more adventure to the race ;)
Hope to see you all next time!!
